Should I buy a Vespa?

I think that buying a Vespa to work (cental London, 5 miles). I'm new to scooters and consider buying a scooter, as I like the look of it. I have a couple of questions before making a decision – is a Vespa (compared to other brand) a good investment. I know it's more expensive than other brands but is keeping its value if I sell? – What is the cost of having the scooter in terms of insurance, MOT, road tax … etc? – Should I buy one 50cc or 125cc? – Is it better to buy new hearing or Secound since this is my first and will be the night on the road, but in a garage during the day? Sorry for all the questions, but I would appreciate your advice. Thank you!

I propose a new ITV 1, then do not have to worry about the next 3 years. 2nd if you buy used you do not know history of the bike and may be that what has been a lot of TLC on the other hand, may have been beaten to death by a bicycle rider aspirants. 3rd, I recommend the 125cc class, because I think it will be worth more than resale. Check insurance for both engine size and road tax for the size of the two engines. These costs can help you decide what to buy. You should get a lot of miles on a gallon of gasoline in both engines. My Vespa is 200cc and costs £ 68 to provide fairly complete for a year and £ 34 road tax for one year. I 100mpg. I should also add that is 26 years. Not sure let out at night is a good idea. Is not that where they can be parked / stored in a backyard, etc. Leave the outside could affect the insurance premium and you bet your bottom dollar some toe-RAG dried. Finally, do not skimp on the helmet and clothing to buy the best you can afford. DavidH
