Vespa / moped issues. Realllly need help.?
I've got my boyfriend a Vespa for his birthday, but I really no knowledge of the subject, and do not want to finish shit. So I have two or three questions. If you know the answer to one / all, I would appreciate your help. 1. Is there a difference between a Vespa and a moped? If so, what is? What is the best? 2. There's a place I turn to you asking me to choose between a 150cc motorcycle or a moped 50cc. I guess that the 150 is better, but what is the difference? 3. Is there anything special or particular I should look? I really want to find something nice. Any additional knowledge that you have on the subject of motorcycles and mopeds in general would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a loss. I know I'm an embarrassment to the motorcycle category. But I thought if you know anything about motorcycles, you may be able to help me Vespas. Thanks in advance. :]
1. Vespa is a brand of bike. It is a beautiful brand of scooters and is one of the more expensive brands. In another very good reputation that are a little cheaper, but still high quality Kymco, SYM, and Genuine Scooter Co. 2. A 150cc will be faster but you need a motorcycle insurance deposit and are generally more expensive to start. A 150cc generally reach 60-65 mph and get anywhere between 75 and 90MPG. A scooter 50cc is slower, usually a maximum speed of 35-45 mph, depending on rider weight, hills, etc.. but there is the advantage of not having a motorcycle endorsement in most States for anything under 50cc. They also get higher gas mileage and usually less expensive initially. 3. Generally you want to see the company's reputation. Well known brands are Piaggio, Sym, Vespa, Kymco, original, and even Honda Yamaha. If you live in an area that is unusually hot, you may want to make sure the cooling scooter vs. fluid is forced air. Also disc brakes front and rear are drums and Nice vs. diameter of the wheels even more is nice but not necessary. Another thing to consider is whether the distributor of one of them is almost ready for that if something goes wrong, it is easy to take to serve, otherwise it will be a pain. Most of these manufacturers have a 1-2 year warranty, too.
